Insights Business Analyst Intern


Insights Analyst Intern will help promote the adoption of a culture of data-driven decision making & data governance within the assigned areas. The position will support efforts with coworkers and internal business partners to clarify requirements and analyze complex data, including the identification of success factors and barriers, improvement opportunities, proposing solutions, and informing strategic decisions. A successful applicant with the appropriate guidance and support will work independently as well as in cross- functional teams to conduct analysis from conceptual development to conclusion. Insights Analyst Intern will assist the Manager to function as a liaison between key stakeholders and Information Systems & Technology to develop insights and actions in the short-term and develop information strategies in the long term. The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial in approach and able to thrive in a fast moving “start-up” environment as well as in a corporate “shared service” organization. Essential Functions

• Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate Tandigm Health’s commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer.
• Work closely with business partners and team to understand their objectives, gather requirements, design, develop, and analyze reports to measure clinical outcomes, network performance, and methodology levers.
• Provide analytical support when compiling and reporting information.
• Assist the Analytics team to collect, organize, and analyze large data sets, gathering insights and determining actions to improve patient care and lower costs.
• Support the Data Governance team to monitor and track data quality issues, identify gaps, and apply action plans to remediate gaps.
• Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems.
• Manage multiple tasks and effectively prioritizes work with supervision and be accustomed to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Uses, protects, and discloses Tandigm patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in
accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.


• Working towards Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related field


• Demonstrated coursework or experience in financial and/or statistical analysis 
• Familiarity designing and adding value through building charts/dashboards/reports with data visualization software (BI) (Tableau preferred)
• Experience with client relations/customer service preferred
• Health care industry interest or background preferred
• Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Passion and interest in data quality and solving problems
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to organize and work on various simultaneous initiatives and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
