Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician will join our growing teaming the Philadelphia area focused on improving the healthcare of patients with the most intense and complex medical needs. A Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for performing administrative duties, tasks and assignments in supporting clinical pharmacists with ultimate goal of optimizing health outcomes for individual patients.Position will involve interaction with patients, pharmacist, nurses and other healthcare professionals . Must be comfortable providing telephonic, virtual and in person support for a panel of patients in collaboration with clinical staff.

Essential Functions

  • Independently perform medical and pharmacy record gathering and organization of medication profiles
  • Provide support to the pharmacists performing CMM outreach
  • Maintain patient’ records
  • Assist Clinical pharmacy Team in handling both inbound/outbound calls & coordination of inbound and outbound mailings
  • Communicate effectively with the Clinical Pharmacy Team to address any ongoing issues or problems
  • Collaborate with other clinical and administrative staff in a positive, constructive manner
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly departmental reports
  • Use, protect, and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance. Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
  • Assist with other projects or assignments as requested
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or requested

Education and Experience

  • A high School Diploma or G.E.D
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician
