SQL Developer

The SQL Developer will be responsible for ETL integration and application development in a Microsoft SQL Server platform. This will include reports, vendor exports, data warehousing tasks and other data related tasks. This position requires excellent communication, technical and project management skills.

Essential Functions

  • Create, modify and test various complex T-SQL procedures, SQL queries and SSIS Packages to source and manipulate the data necessary to meet business requirements.
  • Create new and modify existing SSRS reports for operational reporting.
  • Reconcile data inconsistencies and ensure data integrity. Perform data mining, data cleansing, data manipulation, and data indexing.
  • Develop SQL code to support database and Change Data Capture
  • Follow database development standards for Microsoft enterprise and application databases.
  • Support table indexing and query strategies, database objects maintenance and performance issues.
  • Document the logical and physical components of operational databases and their functionality during the course of their work.
  • Assist in the roll-out of new SQL based applications, problem fixes, and enhancements of software.
  • Create new and modify existing SSRS reports for operational reporting.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or other related field or equivalent work experience


Minimum of 5+ years ETL experience using MS SQL Server Development Suite (SSRS/SSIS/SSAS)

  • Proficiency in developing dynamic SQL
  • Proficiency in indexing and optimization
  • Experience with data architecture and modeling concepts
  • Develop high quality, well-documented TSQL code (Stored Procedures, Views, Functions)
  • Proficiency in Data Lifecycle Management
  • BI Tool experience a plus (Tableau, Qlikview, Cognos, Business Objects, etc.)
  • Understand table indexing and query strategies, database objects maintenance and performance issues
  • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies
  • Healthcare industry background a plus
