VP, Sales & Account Management

Responsible for managing all sales and account management activity at Tandigm, including those related to payer/managed care portfolio, practice membership growth, and service lines. Develops annual strategic plan for new sales and account performance, and executes through the development and maintenance of relationships with prospective and existing customers in the region. Drives account management approach for each segment, and manages relationship from lead development through contracting negotiations to ongoing relationship management.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and annual strategic plan for the managed care portfolio, membership growth within practices, and service lines
  • Manages key payer relationships with the goal of growing the payer portfolio
  • Oversees management of key provider relationships and sales to grow membership within select practices
  • Develops and implements sales and account management strategies for Service Lines in collaboration with the Senior Director of Service Line Management
  • Leads Tandigm Health’s strategic payer initiatives within Philadelphia market
  • Communicates Tandigm Health’s value proposition to the payer community
  • Defines the differentiated approach needed with each unique payer and their specific needs, concerns, and opportunities to grow market share penetration
  • Develops new opportunities to change the paradigm of traditional fee-for-service reimbursement into partnerships
  • Provides analysis of contract performance and provide evaluation of existing contracts to the senior leadership team and our practices
  • Manages multiple concurrent sales and account management activities using effective project management skills to drive progress with specific market strategies
  • Supports on-boarding of new acquisitions, partnerships, entities, locations, and new provider affiliations through payer relations and contracting
  • Creates and maintains relationships between operations, partner practices, and payers
  • Attends onsite visits with payers, clients and internal meetings that require market-specific strategies
  • Monitors market for legal and regulatory developments related to changes in payment initiatives or policy that could impact negotiations and existing relationships
  • Uses, protects, and discloses Tandigm’s patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards, and
  • Performs other duties as required

Education

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

Experience

  • 10+ years in relevant healthcare managed care experience; including contracting, provider and payer relations, account management, business development and growth focused functions
  • High level of understanding finance and healthcare service delivery
  • Established relationships with influencers and decision makers at regional and national payer organizations, and
  • Experience with: various physician reimbursement/ incentive payment methodologies, HMO, Medicare and IPA practices and programs strongly preferred

  • Ability to travel – Philadelphia and surrounding counties
