Anthony V. Coletta, M.D., M.B.A, is the Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and CEO of Tandigm Health, Executive Vice President at Independence Blue Cross, and President of Independence’s Facilitated Health Networks. A board-certified general surgeon and an experienced healthcare business leader, Dr. Coletta brings an exceptional depth of executive and clinical expertise to Tandigm Health.
Dr. Coletta was previously a senior vice president of Independence where he served as one of the principal architects of the Tandigm Health business plan. Prior to this, Dr. Coletta was executive vice president and chief medical officer of Holy Redeemer Health System in Huntingdon Valley, PA. In this role, he was responsible for promoting and facilitating communication among Holy Redeemer’s clinical areas departments to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality care. During his clinical career, he led the creation in 2000 of Renaissance Health Alliance, a joint venture between Independence and Renaissance, a large, Philadelphia-based Independent Practice Association. As one of the founding physicians of Renaissance, he served as chief executive officer, as well as chairman of the board.
In addition to his executive roles, Dr. Coletta was an attending general surgeon for more than two decades at Bryn Mawr Hospital, as well as an associate clinical professor of surgery at Drexel University in Philadelphia. During his distinguished clinical career, he was recognized by Philadelphia Magazine as a pioneer in minimally invasive surgical techniques and as one of the Top Doctors in the Philadelphia region.
Since 2007, Dr. Coletta has volunteered as a surgical missionary to Haiti, traveling to the island annually with medical supplies and a team of physicians. He is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Philadelphia Advisory Board of the National Youth Leadership Forum, Washington, D.C.
Dr. Coletta received his bachelor of science degree in chemistry at Georgetown University and graduated from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in 1979. He completed his Surgical Residency and a Fellowship in Organ Transplantation at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He attained his master of business administration degree from the Fox School of Business at Temple University in 2006 with the distinction of University Scholar.
Kenneth Goldblum, M.D., FACP, is the chief medical officer of Tandigm Health. Dr. Goldblum provides senior clinical leadership to over 440 Tandigm physicians and oversees the development and implementation of the company’s innovative, physician-centric, coordinated care model.
Dr. Goldblum, who is a board-certified internist and geriatrician, has extensive experience in physician integration and quality improvement having founded and led a single hospital Physician Health Organization (PHO), a multi-hospital PHO, a large primary care group practice, and a 250-doctor Independent Primary Care Association.
Dr. Goldblum joined Tandigm Health in August 2014 after serving as the medical director of Gateway Medical Associates, a large primary group practice in Exton, PA, where he served since 1998. He was also the chief medical officer of Renaissance Health Network (Renaissance), an independent primary care association, in suburban Philadelphia, where he served since 2006.
Prior to joining Tandigm Health, Dr. Goldblum also served as senior vice president with Navvis Healthways, a strategic healthcare consulting firm, where he worked with hospital systems and physicians to help develop collaborative, clinically integrated organizations.
In his executive role, Dr. Goldblum speaks nationally about pay for performance, clinical integration, and accountable care organizations (ACOs). He is a member of the Board of Directors for the healthcare Improvement Foundation and Quality Insights of Pennsylvania — two organizations that are committed to healthcare initiatives aimed at lowering costs and improving the safety, outcomes, and care experiences of all patients, residents, and consumers across the Delaware Valley.
Dr. Goldblum received a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was selected for Phi Beta Kappa. He also attended medical school there and received his medical degree with honors as a member of the honorary medical society Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Goldblum completed his residency in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Derek Marshall is Chief Operating Officer for Tandigm Health. In this position, he is responsible for the daily management and coordination of the overall operation of the organization. By directing day-to-day operations in a high quality and cost conscious manner, Derek optimizes Tandigm’s financial and human resources. Additionally, as a member of the Tandigm Leadership Team, Derek plays an integral role in the development and implementation of the company’s short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives.
With over 25 years of executive-level operational experience for large healthcare organizations, Derek’s expertise lies in medical group management, revenue cycles, managed care, operational process improvement, and strategic planning. Prior to joining Tandigm Health in February of 2017, Derek was General Manager and Vice President of Patient Access Solutions at Sutter Health, where he had oversight of the centralized patient service center and patient online services
Derek received his BS degree from the University of Colorado. He has certifications in network administration, with advanced training in healthcare financial management, and chronic care service delivery. Derek has been an active member in the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the Healthcare Finance Management Association (HFMA), the Disease Management Association of America (DMAA), and the Group Practice Improvement Network (GPIN).
Pamela Eckardt, R.N., is the Senior Vice President of Talent, Growth and Engagement. In this position, she is responsible for network development, marketing and communications. With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, she is an experienced leader specializing in the use of new models to deliver care.
Prior to her current position, Pam was an integral part of the strategy development team at Independence that created Tandigm Health. She spent more than 20 years at Independence serving in a range of roles, including Contracting and Provider Networks, Clinical Services, and Strategy and Corporate Planning.
In 2011, she established the department to oversee Independence’s patient-centered medical home program. In this leadership position, Eckardt grew Independence’s network of medical homes from 32 practices to nearly 300. She worked closely with primary care physicians to provide the tools and resources necessary for a successful transition and to champion the importance of medical homes throughout the region. She also expanded the department to include support for Independence’s accountable care organization (ACO) contracting models, fostering unique approaches that enable doctors and hospitals to more effectively collaborate on new models of care delivery.
Prior to joining Independence, Pam practiced as a registered nurse at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pa., concentrating in oncology care.
Pam graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Bloomsburg University.
Keith Garthwaite is the Senior Vice President and CFO of Tandigm Health. He brings broad financial experience to Tandigm having held increasingly senior positions in the US and Europe across the healthcare spectrum.
Prior to joining Tandigm, Keith was Vice President, Business Analytics at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). In this role he created a novel global analytics center of excellence for GSK’s $8B Consumer division.
Keith relocated from the UK to the US in ’06. Between ‘06 and ‘10 he was VP & Controller, GSK Consumer, playing a key role in the division’s industry-leading growth.
Prior to relocating to the US, Keith initially led the financial support of GSK’s UK Sales and Marketing teams before becoming Financial Controller of GSK’s Europe Region. Notable successes included the acquisition of Block Drug Inc., the launch of NiQuitin, Europe’s leading Smoking Cessation brand and the development of a global ERP platform.
Keith commenced his career with PwC in London. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and has a first class honors degree in Toxicology & Pharmacology from University College London.
Keith lives in Chester County with his wife and 3 children and is an accomplished triathlete.
Stanley J. Milavec, Jr., Esq., is the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Services, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary for Tandigm Health. Stan joined the Tandigm team on March 1, 2016. In his position, Stan is responsible for all legal matters related to the Company and participates in the development and implementation of short and long-range plans, goals, objectives and programs for Tandigm.
Before joining Tandigm, Stan was a partner in the law firm of Buchanan, Ingersoll and Rooney, P.C. He has represented Tandigm since its inception in April, 2014.
Stan has 30 years of legal experience, 15 of which were spent managing the legal affairs of large teaching hospitals and integrated health care delivery systems. He represented regional imaging centers, large physician practice groups, pharmaceutical companies, long-term care providers, medical device and equipment manufacturers and distributors, and health insurance companies. He focuses on corporate and business law, corporate governance, regulatory matters and transactions.
As co-founder of two revolutionary health care businesses, Stan has knowledge and experience with regard to FDA applications, approvals and exemptions, negotiating and securing capital, and the sale and distribution of medical products and clinical services to hospitals, health systems, physicians and consumers. He has also extensively advised hospital and private physician clients on health care related matters including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, medical staff disputes, acquisitions, affiliations, joint ventures and divestitures.
Stan received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh, a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and a master’s degree in public health and healthcare administration from Harvard University. Stan has taught health care, licensing and contract related courses at Columbia Law School and Villanova University School of Law. He is listed in Philadelphia Super Lawyers® for Health Care, and in SmartCEO Magazine as one of Philadelphia’s “Legal Elite” for business legal advice.
